Melissa Williams-Platt studied coaching through the Centre for Coaching, at the GSB (Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town), having completed her Associate Coaching Course and Professional Coaching Course, both of which are recognised by the International Coach Federation (ICF). Melissa’s coaching experience spans over more than 10 years. She is a certified end of life coach and is a faculty member for Coaching at End Of Life. Melissa also mentors and trains professional coaches. She is a certified 5 Lens Practitioner and a Professional Certified Coach through ICF (PCC.)
Melissa is passionate about coaching and the incredible change and hope that coaching offers professionals and individuals as they face the day-to-day challenges of everyday life. Melissa also has a deep knowledge of loss having lost her son, Samuel who spent all fifteen and a half months of his short life in hospital.
Melissa’s passion for healthcare interventions has grown from this personal experience and she has been a change maker in the healthcare industry as a result. Melissa’s coaching focus is one that leaves her clients feeling empowered and fortified to face the many unique challenges that life brings their way. Melissa is passionate about the individual and seeing them lean into their strengths and future with renewed hope, courage, skills, and vigour

Fred Platt has a Bachelor of Arts from Wits University and a Master of Business Administration from Brunel University. Fred, began his career in human resources management in 1990 at Fram Footwear (a division of Conshu Holdings Limited) and progressed to HR director.
He represented Conshu on the South African Breweries human resources committee before joining Safic in 1997. He moved rapidly through the corporate ranks serving as operations director in 1998, managing director in 2000 and finally group managing director for Safic in 2003.
His vision for the organisation facilitated the strategic acquisition of Marley Flooring in 2004 and the consolidation of the various companies into Accéntuate Limited, which culminated in the listing on the AltX of the JSE in 2006. During this period he concluded a joint venture with India’s leading water company and has played an active role in the water sector. Fred has helped set up over 200 businesses to support and empower entrepreneurs.
He is the Chairman and a co-founder of the South African Water Chamber and Executive Chairman for Nexus Water Alchemy as well as Water Ledger Global. Fred serves on the board of several companies and charities. Following the tragic passing away of his son Sam, he co- founded the Footprints 4 Sam Trust, a charitable trust set up to improve the lives of children with chronic illness. He is also a speaker and is the author of Lessons From a Rainbow Unicorn, a book inspired by his son Sam who passed away in 2016 a few months after his first birthday.
Fred offers a distinctive approach to mentoring, leadership and strategy, drawing from firsthand experience in the very roles his clients are navigating. Rather than relying solely on theory or research, he provides practical, experience-based guidance that empowers individuals and teams to overcome challenges and grow with real-world insight.
